A Little About Me

I've been singing and writing lyrics for as long as I can remember. I grew up singing in the children’s choir at Mowing Glade AME Zion Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. From there I developed my craft by singing in several choirs in high school. Being on stage was both frightening and exhilarating. 

I always had a deep love for music, all types. I can remember when my mother played a Mahalia Jackson album, then turned around and introduced me to Shalamar and Hiroshima’s“Kokoro.”

My love of music defies genres R&B, Soul, Pop, Jazz, Classical, Rock, whatever moves me, inspires me and serves as inspiration.Incorporating different genres into my music is part of my process and my exploration extends to both music and lyrics.
